The nightwatchman Society is pleased to announce it’s merger with the Bastiat Society of Sri Lanka. The Nightwatchman Society is a meetup group that discusses broad based classical liberal ideas in Sri Lanka. The Bastiat Society of Sri Lanka was formed in 2015 by a group of private sector individuals committed to the principles of free trade, individual freedom and responsible governance. Given the similar objects and operating principles the founders of the respective groups have decided a merger is the best way forward.
The merger will make The Night Watchman Society the official Bastiat Society chapter in Sri Lanka and will join the AEIR’s Bastiat society global network of over a dozen of such groups all over the world.
